About Our Stars And Stripes Summer Program
With over 15 years of experience, LLA Therapy’s Stars and Stripes motto is: Helping Kids Shine Their Brightest! Stars and Stripes is a 6-week long summer program designed to target IEP goals in an engaging school environment. The program includes academic instruction, behavior support, assistive technology, as well as music, occupational, physical, and speech therapy. With a 2:1 student to staff ratio, Stars and Stripes provides the highest level of individual support to every child, no matter the needs!
Lead Teacher
Lead Teacher’s report to their respective Stars and Stripes manager. Lead teachers must hold a current teaching certificate and teaching license. They are responsible for the daily management of their classroom at Stars and Stripes including: maintaining the schedule of their students, crafting and implementing relevant and personalized instruction to the students within their classroom that is based on their IEP goals and objectives, collecting and reporting data for progress monitoring, and maintaining communication with parents in regards to their child’s performance at the program.

Essential Accountabilities For The Intervention Specialist
Stars and Stripes Lead Teacher base pay will be $336 per week. The position includes a 3-day a week work with a standard work day of 3 hours. This position is considered non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act provisions for overtime. Two additional 3-hour-days are paid ($112 per day) for classroom set-up and progress reports for Lead Teachers who commit to the whole summer.

Essential Accountabilities For The Intervention Specialist
- Review individualized treatment plans and materials to match the student’s unique learning profile.
- Daily management of the assigned classroom at Stars and Stripes summer program.
- Maintaining the schedule of the classroom and students assigned to the classroom.
- Crafting and implementing relevant and personalized instruction to the students within the classroom that is based on their IEP goals and objectives.
- Collecting and reporting data for progress monitoring.
- Maintaining communication with parents in regards to their child’s performance at the program.
- Intervention Specialist license or the ability to obtain a supplemental Intervention Specialist license.
- Ohio Department of Education certification (can be completed upon hire).
- Experience with Individual Education Plans (IEP’s).
- Positive and goal oriented, willing to accept the challenge of new assignments and be able to work well with others.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with emphasis on teamwork, customer service, and safe working practices.
- Must be able to handle stressful situations.
