About Our School Services
With over 30 years of school therapy experience, LLA Therapy’s motto is : Helping Kids Shine Their Brightest! In order to accomplish our goal we pride ourselves on effective and streamlined communication, ongoing mentoring and support, collaboration between school personnel (intervention specialists, general education teachers, other therapy disciplines, psychologists, administration) and providing our professionals with the materials and tools they need to succeed (access to online assessments, shared therapy resources, templates, goal banks, and membership to online therapy tools).
Essential Accountabilities for the Speech-Language Pathologist
- Provide ongoing treatment to assigned caseload
- Document, monitor, analyze, and report students’ progress and effects of treatment regularly in conjunction with school deadlines and procedures.
- Conduct educationally relevant evaluations and report findings within Evaluation Team Reports (ETRs)
- Write educationally relevant therapy goals and relevant student information background information within Individualized Educational Programs (IEPs)
- Attend and report evaluations findings and therapy recommendations in family friendly language during IEP and ETR meetings.
- Contribute to building a positive, supportive, and learning culture through collaboration and ongoing communication between school personnel and families.
- Maintenance and documentation of ongoing therapy minutes and report due-dates.
- Complete necessary Medicaid billing in conjunction with school deadlines and procedures.
