Pay Range
117,900 - $135,060 Annually

An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
Job Description
We have multiple openings for Postdoctoral Research Staff Member . You will perform research in the broad area of computer vision / machine learning for problems involving imagery, video, and high dimensional data. You will have the opportunity to engage in a diverse range of problems such as medical imaging, energy grid analytics, multi-modal information retrieval, and advanced manufacturing. These positions are in the Computational Engineering Division (CED), within the Engineering Directorate.
In this roleyou will
- Develop or apply approaches for supervised and unsupervised analysis of complex data within application domains.
- Implement associated algorithms and apply them to relevant data.
- Organize, analyze, and present data from research.
- Prepare technical reports.
- Pursue independent (but complementary) research interests and interact with a broad spectrum of scientists internally and externally to the Laboratory.
- Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team to achieve research goals.
- Publish research results in peer-reviewed scientific or technical journals and present results at external conferences, seminars and / or technical meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Information
This is a Postdoctoral appointment with the possibility of extension to a maximum of three years, open to those who have been awarded a PhD at time of hire date.

This position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) Q-level clearance. Also, you must have the ability to obtain and maintain Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access.If you are selected, we willinitiate a Federal background investigation to determine if youmeet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or matter. Also, all L or Q cleared employees are subject to random drug testing. Q-level clearance requires U.S. citizenship.
