- Design Drafter
We are looking for a dynamic designer/drafter to join our company. In this role, you'll collaborate with engineers to create the first draft of a technical design. You'll use computer-aided design (CAD) software to create drawings and designs.
To ensure success as a designer/drafter, you should be able to use design principles to create technical drawings that bring the engineer's ideas to life. Ultimately, a top-notch drafter should have excellent knowledge of CAD software, and the ability to conceptualize design with meticulous attention to detail.
Drafter Responsibilities:
- The candidate demonstrates ability to manage CAD files and templates.
- The candidate creates and revise drawings, schematics and other visual plans that can help engineers or designers build or develop those structures.
- The candidate will contribute to projects, and work alongside other CAD technicians and designers, structural engineers, and project managers.
- Candidate will need to know how to xref drawings and utilize sheet set manager.
- Coordinate with engineers and project managers to prepare detail drawings on schedule.
Design Drafter Requirements:
· Proficiency in AutoCAD.
· Knowledge on detailing of Steel structures and Concrete Rebar detailing.
· Knowledge in civil design. Site grading, levees and swale a plus.
· Complete understanding of project drawings from concept to completion with minimal supervision.
· Complete knowledge of design, drafting standards and procedures.
· Adhere to industry codes and standards as well as department practices and procedures.
· Possesses strong organizational skills, attention to detail, highly motivated and demonstrates personal initiative.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for conducting structural analysis and identifying potential issues.
· Ability to learn and work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
· Possesses integrity, strong work ethic, positive attitude, and is dependable.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
