Position Overview

Our client is looking for an experienced Controller to lead the accounting and financial operations of their growing distribution business. This key leadership role will oversee a team of 7 accounting professionals , ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and process optimization. Reporting directly to the CFO, the Controller will play a critical role in financial planning, strategic decision-making, and operational efficiency . This is an in-office position.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the accounting team to maintain accuracy in financial reporting and improve operational efficiency.
• Oversee inventory accounting , ensuring precise tracking and reporting, particularly within the AS400 system .
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to support strategic business decisions.
• Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and other financial requirements.
• Collaborate with the CFO and executive team to develop financial strategies that support business growth.
• Oversee tax reporting, audits, and external financial relationships , ensuring smooth financial operations.
• Continuously improve financial processes, reporting, and efficiency

Salary : $120,000 - $150,000
