Warehouse Associate

Salary: $19/hr
Location:Ronkonkoma, NY
Schedule:Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm
Position is Temp to Perm & Offers Benefits Once Employee Transitions to Perm/Full-Time.
The Warehouse Associate is a detail-oriented individual that manages incoming and outgoing material which could include receiving, stocking, picking, packing, andshipping. Some tasks may be performed in an ISO Class 8 cleanroom or flow-hood controlled environment. Proper gowning procedures will be followed.
Responsibilities:

• Successfully pick, scale-count, pack, and ship orders using WMS/ERP software and devices
• Manually palletize and prepare shipments for pickup along with all associated documentation.
• Accurately perform order fulfillment activities and assist with inventory control measures.
• Ability to understand inventory principles and material movement functions. Analyze special instructions and follow customer order requirements.
• Verify parts to ensure the correct part was selected and no visual contaminants are present.
• Communicate and address any issues that prevent the processing of customer orders.
• Follow controlled ISO and Environmental, Health & Safety procedures.
• Maintain safe operation of all necessary equipment in the work area.
• Assist in general warehouse and facilities activities when needed.
• Appropriately report/record any product or process discrepancies.

Requirements:

• Operate inventory control equipment, i.e., bar-coding equipment, handheld devices as required.
• Experience working in a Healthcare Warehouse setting is a plus.
• High School Diploma or GEDRequired
• Ability to understand and execute instructions.
• Good interpersonal skills both verbal and written.
• Solid Reading & Reasoning skills.
• Ability to stand for 8 hours a day.
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds unassisted.
