Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in healthcare settings, demonstrating the ability to deliver high-quality care while ensuring the comfort and safety of clients. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for those with varying needs, including individuals with developmental disabilities, pediatrics, and those recovering from post care procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Support clients in mobility and transportation needs, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Help manage daily living activities including meal preparation and medication reminders.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of client care as required.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' overall well-being.
- Monitor clients’ health status and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and emergency procedures within the care environment.
Experience
Candidates should ideally have experience in one or more of the following areas:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One or more years of experience as a caregiver
- Certification in first aid and CPR
- Updated TB Test
- Updated Physical from a providers office.
- Ability to pass a background check
- Excellent judgment and proven discretion in handling confidential information
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Experience in caring for people who have dementia or Alzheimer’s disease
- Ability to communicate in more than one language
- Professional certification such as CNA, or HHA
- Cultural Competency Training Certificate

Pay: $16.00 - $17.50 per hour
