About the role: Catering Sales Manager
LM Catering & Events is looking for a talented Venue & Catering Sales Manager to join our growing team. The primary focus of this position will be to establish strong client relationships and actively sell LM’s catering services and one-of-a-kind event spaces. Ideal candidates will be passionate about working as part of a team and extremely comfortable with working in a client facing role.
This position will be responsible for coordinating events and ensuring all catering services exceed guest expectations. Their duties include but are not limited to:
- Maintaining strong client relationships throughout the planning process and through post-event
- Prepare proposals and contracts for both the venue and catering, addendums, and track the completion status.
- Working with clients to put together a creative menu and efficient timeline for their event.
- Providing an engaging experience to potential clients visiting the venue.
- Communication skills, both verbal and written, are vital for this position as they will need to regularly work closely with not only clients but with the leadership team, catering team members, and hourly employees both in the FOH and BOH.
Ideal candidates will have a positive attitude and be a team-player. They will have strong attention to detail and be able to perform calmly and effectively under pressure. Experience using Mac operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs and Caterease, an online banquet system that is used widely within the catering industry, preferred but not required. Weekend and evening availability is a must.
Essential Functions
- Creating and editing floor plans
- Hosting clients for captivating event tastings
- Working closely with client’s vendors prior to and during events, ensuring they have the necessary permits and knowledge to work in our venues
- Responding to client inquiries in a timely manner
- Communicate all essential information to appropriate staff who will be working at events
- Positive attitude

- Self-starter with the ability to think on their feet
Skills & Knowledge
- 2 years of sales experience in restaurants, hotels and/or catering venues. Experience working with weddings is strongly preferred.
- Experience using Mac operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs and Caterease or a similar system is preferred but not required
- Weekend and evening availability is a must
Salary Range:
$60,000-$70,000 base salary, with additional commission
