We are seeking an engaging, friendly, detail-oriented Breakfast Attendant to join our Food and Beverage team. The primary responsibilities of this role will include handling the setup and breakdown of the breakfast buffet, maintaining the dining area, ensuring food is available, and delivering exceptional guest service.
General Responsibilities:
- Prep food offerings, set up food service area
- Acknowledge and welcome each guest with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly greeting (use guest name whenever possible)
- Answer questions regarding the menu
- Maintain knowledge of all food items
- Adhere to all applicable food safety regulations including correct time and temperature control
- Deliver food, beverages, condiments and other requested items
- You will ensure all food product meets specification, notify management of issues
- Maintain knowledge of guest rooms, amenities, features and services offered at the hotel
- Clean designated areas in accordance with defined procedures, following proper set up and closing procedures
- Ensure sideboards are adequately stocked
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Previous Food & Beverage experience preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, ability to solve problems
- Basic understanding of/or ability to learn basic sanitation and regulations for workplace safety
- Basic understanding of or ability to learn food handling techniques, preparation, and cooking procedures
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently
- Organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work with a team
- Willingness to work rotational work schedule, including early mornings, weekends and holidays
