POSITION SUMMARY
Assure efficient collection, sorting, cleaning and distribution of laundry in order to provide high quality laundry services to our guests.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Collect, record, sort and process property laundry. Collection of laundry requires bending, stooping and lifting laundry of up to 30 pounds on a continuous basis.
Swiftly process laundry through presser, which requires continuous bending, standing and manual dexterity.
Assist in areas other than primary station within the laundry department when there is down time in primary station.
Manually fold sheets in an efficient and neat manner.
Clear laundry chute and sort linen in carts.
Answer telephone calls and inquiries from guests/associates regarding laundry service.
Assist in areas other than primary station within the laundry department when there is down time in primary station.
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions.
Respond to guest requests for assistance, direction and other information.
Report all suspicious persons, activities or hazardous and unsafe conditions to a supervisor or manager.
Turn in all items found in associate’s working area to the property Lost and Found Department.
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor such as cleaning rooms, assisting Room Attendants or cross training when necessary.
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities to be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
Ability to push or pull laundry carts carrying heavy loads weighing up to 150 pounds.
Ability to lift and carry objects up to 30 pounds, as the position requires continuous transportation of laundry to and from shelves and carts.
Ability to pull linen from the washers and dryers weighing up to 75 pounds.
Ability to continuously move throughout laundry department working in variety of areas within extreme temperatures.

Upon employment all associates are required to comply with the standards, rules and regulations which may be established by the Company and updated from time to time. Associates who violate property rules or have irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
The Hospitality business functions seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, associates may be required to work varying schedules, weekends, holidays and overtime to reflect the business needs of the property. Associates may also be required to attend group and/or department meetings in addition to the work shift as necessary. In addition, this is a hospitality business and a hospitable service atmosphere must be projected at all times.
