Day to Day Activities
· Stretching at beginning of shift during team huddle.
· Gather supplies needed for the day.
· Continually communicate with co-workers in regard to the process and following work instructions.
· Use critical thinking skills to identify alternative solutions, conclusions or approach problems. These must be done while still following the work instructions.
· May work with a variety of chemicals or come in contact with chemicals. Must wear the appropriate PPE and follow all health and safety instructions and dispose of chemicals appropriately.
· Clean around work area throughout the day to maintain 5S.
· Un-regular schedule, intermittent tasks.
· Cut glass for repairs as needed and label accordingly
· Repair employees cut and grind all wrinkles inside the mould.
· De-bag available moulds. Utilize the overhead crane for this process when available.
· Master Crane Operator move de-bagged bladed to open mould close cradle. This includes ensuring the blade is securely fastened to the crane. Remove straps properly once in cradle and push down on mould to ensure it is tightly secured into cradle.
· Prep for mould close:
o Cleaning mould of debris
o Apply brackets
o Gluing
o Mark designated areas and apply foam
o Apply protective paper along edges with glue
o Make markings on the blade according to work instructions
o Remove brackets after foam pieces are in place
o Sand flange where needed
· When both upwind and downwind are repaired and prepped, master crane operator lifts mould to close.
· After mould has been closed to designated amount of time, according to work instructions, remove root plate and fasten root ring on the root of the finished mould. Fasten with stay bolts.
· Trim/grind an excess glass on the side of the mould.
