We are seeking an experienced Senior Controls Engineer to provide hands-on electrical support for the installation, start-up, and debugging of manufacturing process equipment. This role requires working closely with a cross-functional team—including mechanical, electrical, controls, facilities, IT, and operations—and may involve travel to project sites. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in PLC systems, safety standards, and equipment validation in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage electrical trades executing the installation and debugging of equipment.
- Verify electrical wiring according to specifications, answer technical questions, and perform point-to-point checks.
- Setup and commission PLCs, drives, and field I/O.
- Conduct safety validation checks following SAT documents.
- Coordinate installation plans, ensuring safety and alignment with plant requirements.
- Work closely with engineers and vendors to resolve equipment installation or build discrepancies.
- Maintain and enforce safe work practices.
- Update electrical drawings and equipment documentation to reflect modifications.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in automated equipment design, installation, start-up, and debugging in a high-volume manufacturing setting.
- Strong expertise in PLC system design and programming, particularly with Allen Bradley ControlLogix (Studio 5000, RSLinx, FactoryTalk View).
- Proficient in the configuration and setup of ControlLogix PLC, Ethernet IP communication, HMI SCADA iFix, drive setup and tuning (Yaskawa), and PID tuning.
- Ability to read and update electrical schematics.
- Knowledge of machine guarding and safety standards.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in diverse teams.
- Capability to multitask and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills to develop and implement effective solutions.
- Experience commissioning PLCs, drives, and sensors across a large integrated manufacturing line.
- Familiarity with safety validation checks and installation planning.
