What You’ll Do
- Oversee day-to-day accounting processes, focusing on bank reconciliations and transactions
- Ensure accuracy and maintenance of financial reporting and compliance with SOX controls and external audit requirements
- Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance operating efficiency, internal controls, and team performance
- Provide direct supervision, coaching, and mentoring to a team of 6-8 accounting professionals
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop financial strategies and support business performance
- Prepare or delegate ad hoc financial analyses and ensure accurate processing, recording, and reporting of financial data
- Drive team engagement, cultivate a positive culture, and serve as a consultant on processes with financial implications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 3-5 years of managerial experience leading a team of 6-8 in a large corporate environment (finance or accounting preferred)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel skills
- Strong leadership skills in coaching, mentoring, and team development
- Solid experience with bank reconciliations, transaction management, and process improvement
- Familiarity with Oracle accounting systems and the insurance industry is a plus, along with global experience
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across multiple locations
