Mechanical Estimator / Sheet Metal

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Estimator with a focus on Sheet Metal to join our team. This mid-senior level position is ideal for an experienced professional with 10 years in the Mechanical or Industrial Engineering industry and a Bachelor's degree. As a Mechanical Estimator, you will play a key role in preparing and presenting accurate cost estimates for projects, analyzing blueprints, and collaborating with engineers, architects, and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Analyze historical cost data to estimate current and future project costs.
• Collaborate with clients, vendors, internal teams, and construction foremen to formulate accurate estimates and resolve issues.
• Prepare time, cost, material, and labor estimates from blueprints and project documentation.
• Participate in walk-throughs, pre-bid, and scope clarification meetings.
• Use estimating software for quantitative take-offs and scope adjustments.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers, general contractors, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Provide support to project managers with takeoffs and pricing changes.
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years' experience in the construction or mechanical engineering industry.
• Previous estimating experience in sheet metal.
• Strong knowledge of construction industry standards and regulations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, PDF Viewer, AutoCAD Fabrication, EstMEP, and Quotesoft.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
