Senior Quality Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer (Sr. SQE) to join our team, focused on ensuring the quality and compliance of Electrical Assemblies and Electronics. As part of the Procurement Quality team, the Sr. SQE will work closely with suppliers to resolve quality issues, lead continuous improvement efforts, and address non-conformance challenges.

In this role, you will enforce quality standards, drive supplier performance improvements, and mentor junior engineers. You will also lead investigations, implement corrective actions, and collaborate with internal and external teams to maintain high-quality product standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve supplier quality issues, analyzing defect trends and conducting root cause analysis.
• Lead containment efforts for supplier non-conformances and corrective actions.
• Evaluate and assess First Article Inspections and Test plans.
• Drive continuous improvement and promote a "Zero Defect" mentality within the supply base.
• Mentor junior engineers in quality practices and processes.
• Implement corrective and preventative actions to enhance supplier quality performance.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience in electronics and/or electrical manufacturing processes.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in quality systems, mechanical drawings, and root cause analysis.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a defense or manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles.
• Familiarity with advanced quality improvement tools and methodologies.
