POSITION SUMMARY
The Healthcare Advancement Resource Center (HARC) is a grant-funded initiative supported by the Mother Cabrini Health Foundation and other funding sources. HARC’s mission is to connect internationally trained medical graduates (IMGs) with educational and employment opportunities to meet the demand for linguistically and culturally competent healthcare providers in the U.S. Specifically, HARC assists healthcare professionals from around the world who have relocated to New York but have been unable to practice their profession in obtaining the necessary credentials and licensure to reenter the healthcare workforce.
Under the direction of HARC’s Director, the Senior Educational Case Manager plays a leadership role in guiding program participants toward credentialing, licensure, and career advancement in the healthcare field. This position is responsible for supervising case managers, providing high-level educational counseling, and overseeing case management strategies to ensure participants receive comprehensive support. The Senior Educational Case Manager will serve under the direction of the director as a key representative of HARC, collaborating with internal teams, institutional partners, and external stakeholders. They will also collaborate with the director to monitor program effectiveness, implement best practices, and ensure compliance with funding requirements.
This full-time position requires in-person work and hosting learning sessions on one to two Saturdays per month (8:30 a.m.—5:00 p.m.).
This position is a grant funded position. Renewal is based on funding being available from external sources and the performance review process by external sources and is contingent on the continued receival of those funds.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Job duties specific to this position:
Supervision & Team Leadership
Collaborate with the director to manage and guide a team of case managers to ensure consistent and effective service delivery.
Train, mentor, and support case managers in best practices for educational counseling and case management.
Conduct bi/weekly case managers’ meetings to discuss participant progress, challenges, and strategic solutions.
Case Management & Participant Support
Provide high-level case management services, developing individualized career and licensure plans for participants.
Assist participants in navigating credentialing, certification, and employment pathways.
Conduct eligibility screenings, intake assessments, and progress evaluations.
Ensure participants receive targeted support through career readiness training, mentorship, and referrals.
Maintain and oversee detailed participant records, tracking progress and identifying areas for intervention.
Program Development & Oversight
Lead the development and refinement of case management strategies to improve participant outcomes.
Collaborate with the director to identify gaps in participant support services and recommend enhancements.
Collaborate with the Director to develop program policies, standard operating procedures, and evaluation metrics.
Ensure case management aligns with HARC’s mission, objectives, and compliance requirements.
Stakeholder & Community Engagement
Establish and maintain partnerships with community organizations to expand participant support networks.
Represent HARC at conferences, networking events, and professional development forums as needed.
Data Management & Reporting
Oversee participant data collection, ensuring accuracy and consistency across case management staff.
Analyze program data to assess effectiveness, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement.
Generate data for grant proposals and reports and participate in the grant writing demonstrating program impact.
Administrative Responsibilities
Attend weekly team priority-setting meetings & additional conversations as requested by HARC Director
Facilitate a bi-weekly meeting of the case management team to provide updates, navigate challenges & share best practices
Complete regular performance assessments

QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree in education, social work, healthcare administration, law, or a related field.
Bi-multilingual proficiency in spoken and written English and an additional language.
2 years of experience in case management, workforce development, or educational counseling, preferably in healthcare-related programs.
Supervisory experience, with a proven ability to lead and develop a team.
Strong knowledge of licensing and credentialing processes for internationally trained healthcare professionals (preferred).
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and program development skills.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships with community organizations and stakeholders.
Ability to interact with a variety of personalities professionally.
Ability to work professionally and ethically within a multicultural setting, including maintaining confidentiality and privacy of persons, documents, data, and communication
