The Manager, Accounting secures financial operations by monitoring, approving financial processing, reporting, and auditing with the accounting team.
Essential functions may include, but are not limited to :
- Monitor and review client billings and payment applications for accuracy, entirety, and timeliness.
- Review accounts receivable aging reports and oversee collection activities, particularly problem accounts.
- Manage credit application process and make recommendations for extension of credit and appropriate limits and terms.
- Ensure maintenance of customer files including credit, insurance certificates, and sales tax status.
- Prepare month–end reconciliations and other accounts receivable projects.
- Audit accounts payable invoices for proper account coding, supporting documentation, and payment authorization, as appropriate.
- Monitor and review accounts payable aging report and purchase order log for correctness and completeness.
- Conduct financial analysis of general ledger accounts. Research and resolve unusual entries when necessary. Propose reclassifications when appropriate.
- Preparation of financial statements and various management reports, including month-end journal entries.
- Review job costing information and make inquiries and adjustments as appropriate.
- Review invoices on hold and ensure timely resolution and clearing for payment.
- Oversee all balance sheet account reconciliations and transactions.
- Identify problems and issues relating to accounts receivable and accounts payable and offer recommendations for solutions when appropriate.
- Manage the team of accounting professionals. Provide coaching and counseling as necessary to achieve optimal performance.
Base Salary Range is commensurate with candidate's experience.
