The Senior Staff Accountant will maintain and control the general ledger accounts and business transactions of the organization, apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) that includes thorough review, analysis and preparation of financial statements and related support.
Essential functions may include, but are not limited to :
- Prepare, review and analyze monthly reconciliations of assigned balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare divisional financial statements and review of budget to actual variances for presentation to leadership.
- Review and maintain fixed asset records, disposable and / or gains on fixed assets, prepare journal entries as needed.
- Assist staff accountant team with financial analysis of general ledger accounts.
- Research and resolve unusual entries when necessary. Propose reclassifications when appropriate.
- Assist in the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
- Review allocation of cost to ensure direct cost and indirect costs are accurately coded.
- Assist in establishment and maintenance of inter-company transactions.
- Prepare and enter monthly payroll accruals and month end journal entries as needed.
- Track prepaid expenses and allocate amount to be expensed over the prescribed periods according to department policy.
- Review monthly bank reconciliations, sales tax filings, department commissions, month end journal entries / accruals as needed.
Base Salary Range : $60, - $89, This represents the low and high end of the company's base salary range for this position. Actual base salary range may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to experience.
