Position Summary:
The Epic Clinical Application Analyst assists Ambulatory Quality Management with analytical processes. Independently researches and seeks solutions to problems and contributes to improving workflow and processes. They work in conjunction with other analysts to lead administration, and patient care staff in the overall design, build, implementation, training, documentation operation and support of assigned applications, databases, and reports.
Responsibilities:
- Able to independently evaluate systems, analyze complex issues and problems, test data and assist customers in reaching resolution(s)
- Have a strong working knowledge of health system clinical and administrative departments, operations, and core process workflows
- Responsible for planning, design, build, testing and implementing of information systems that support and enhance clinical practices and business processes
- Participates and leads testing of module updates, enhancements, custom programming, and new releases
- Provides ongoing maintenance and support for assigned applications with little to no assistance
- Able to utilize current issue tracking software to document contact with customers and resolutions to issues
- Will routinely manage IS related & non-IS related projects with limited management oversight
- Must work effectively with team members, have strong communication skills, and always maintain a professional demeanor
- This position is hybrid and will require on-site visits, and must be willing to be onsite as needed
Experience:
- Familiar with case or care management workflows, health plan concepts, and wellness programs
- Strong working knowledge of quality reporting initiatives such as MIPS/MU
- Prior experience with Epic registries, reporting workbench, decision support tools
- Experience with integration with patient and provider outreach tools
- Maintain an understanding of organizational clinical workflows, clinical case management and/or Epic mobile applications for care
- Exceptional interpersonal, presentation and communication skills required to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and external contacts
- Strong skills in PC desktop applications such as MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Associate degree preferred
- Minimum of 1- 3 years of experience working with Healthy Planet and Cosmos Epic applications
- Hybrid position with required onsite support
- Epic Healthy Planet and Cosmos certification preferred or certification must be obtained within 6 months from start of employment
