Our client is building a family of leading businesses in the environmental sensing, monitoring, and control space — serving regulated, mission-critical industries like energy, manufacturing, and environmental services. As they scale through strategic acquisitions and tech-driven growth, they’re hiring a Technical Inside Sales Representative to support their sales efforts and drive customer satisfaction.
About the Role:
As a Technical Inside Sales Representative (TSR), you will play a key role in driving sales and supporting the company’s growth by managing Requests for Quotes (RFQs) and developing tailored solutions for customers. This position requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and procurement teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to incoming RFQs from customers via phone, email, and online channels.
- Review customer specifications and provide accurate, competitive quotations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure technical validation and pricing alignment.
- Serve as the main point of contact for customers, contractors, and engineering firms.
- Support Regional Sales Managers with territory-specific strategies and documentation for large accounts or projects.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Customer Support, and Production teams to ensure smooth transitions from quotation to order fulfillment.
- Maintain up-to-date records in CRM and generate reports to support forecasting and sales analysis.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in a related field (technical degree preferred).
- 5 years in customer service, inside sales, or a similar role with demonstrated success.
- Knowledge of tank equipment, instrumentation, and PVF products (oil & gas or electrical/automation experience a plus).
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to performance management.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with CRM systems and technical drawings is highly desirable.
