Civic Engagement Specialist

Job Summary: We are hiring motivated and outgoing individuals to join our team as Petition Canvassers for a citywide initiative promoting government accountability. Canvassers will engage with voters, educate them about our initiative, and collect petition signatures to advance policy reforms. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about civic engagement and directly impacting their community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Approach and engage with potential petition signers in assigned areas
• Clearly explain the purpose of the petition and answer any questions
• Secure valid signatures from registered voters
• Maintain accurate records of collected signatures
• Meet daily and weekly signature goals
• Work independently and as part of a team to maximize outreach efforts

Qualifications:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable speaking with strangers and discussing policy initiatives
• Ability to handle rejection professionally and maintain a positive attitude
• Previous canvassing, sales, or political campaign experience is a plus but not required
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must have reliable Transportation
