Lone Mountain Land Company (LMLC) manages the planning, entitlement, building, marketing, and sale of premier real estate communities around Big Sky, Montana. The company supports world-class operations at Spanish Peaks Mountain Club and Moonlight Basin and oversees real estate activities at Spanish Peaks, Moonlight Basin, Crazy Mountain Ranch, Big Sky Town Center, and other projects in the Big Sky region.
Position Summary:
At Crazy Mountain Ranch, The Golf Course Landscape Supervisor reports to the Director of Golf Course and Grounds while performing various landscape maintenance tasks. The Landscape Supervisor will be directly involved in a variety of maintenance assignments associated with the Crazy Mountain Ranch property and its amenity areas. Maintenance operations will be performed utilizing a vast assortment of specialized equipment, machinery, utility vehicles and hand tools.
Job Duties:
- Assist in maintaining the landscaped grounds and annual flower baskets located on CMR property.
- Equipment operation includes self-propelled walk mowers, trimmers, utility vehicles, light weight mowing equipment and other specialty machinery utilized in golf course maintenance work.
- The Landscape Supervisor will work with the Director in the selection, ordering of plants and landscaping materials for the club grounds and golf course.
- Develop a landscape maintenance schedule and plan for CMR.
- Design and incorporate the ornamental arrangement of flowers, shrubs and trees in all maintained areas.
- Oversee and maintain irrigation systems in landscape areas.
- Assist with training, orienting, scheduling and supervising landscape personnel.
- Plant, mulch, weed, deadhead and remove plant materials in accordance with landscape plan.
- Mow, line trim, edge, blow weed, mulch and other maintenance duties.
- Perform daily tasks associated with proper operation and care of all landscape equipment.
Competencies:
- Experience with fundamental landscape maintenance practices.
- Previous experience working in the maintenance of grounds, flowers or similar outdoor areas.
- Knowledge of working with annual and perennial flowers and other landscape plantings.
- Knowledge of basic irrigation functions and maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work outdoors in different weather condition environments.
- Knowledge of safe and efficient mechanical operation of equipment and motorized vehicles.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Possess an ability to follow written and oral directions.
