LEAD BARTENDER

SUMMARY
The Lead Bartender position will require you to interact one-on-one with the members and guests, take their orders, make cocktails utilizing company service standards, and ensure guest satisfaction. This role will contribute to the organization as an active business partner that is responsible for supporting the company's goals, objectives, vision, mission, and values.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Job duties include, although are not limited to:
- Consistently follow Food & Beverage sequence of service utilizing all proper procedures standardized by club managers and chefs
- Maintain and control secure storage for supplies
- Assist in ordering supplies and alcohol by maintaining par levels at the direction of the Manager
- Adhere to all training guidelines for all new/rehired associates
- Assist in planning, developing, and implementation of all new drink menus and cocktail recipes
- Exhibit proper knowledge, selling techniques and service delivery of both non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages, and any menu items offered while maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the bar
- Anticipate the members’ and guests’ needs and responding appropriately with a sense of urgency
- Clean all equipment, tools, and supplies and maintain equipment in good working order while following all procedures and policies set forth by the company, division, department and County health department.
- Work as a team and effectively communicate with management, bartenders and service staff in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by members, guests and/or other Associates
- Maintain awareness of daily, weekly, and monthly sales trends
- Assist in training team to up sell both liquor and food
- Provide members and guests with a seamless luxury experience
- Enforce all State and Federal laws regarding liquor sales
- Assist F&B management in training and guiding all new and rehire bartending associates
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years restaurant experience and/or 3-4 years’ experience bartending in a similar establishment.
- Must have knowledge of wine, spirits, Sake, beer, fortifieds, etc.
- Must possess good attitude, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure
- Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude are required
- Ability to read and write in English proficiently
- Must have basic math skills and be able to use a calculator
- Must be 21 years of age and possess Tips and Food Handlers cards (or get recertified in first 10 days or training)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill tasks. Must be physically able to lift and carry heavy trays and equipment as well as delicate China and glassware. Up to 50 lbs. Must be physically able to walk without assistance on various surfaces for an extended period of time. This position requires manual dexterity, grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, and climbing.
