Early Years Educator Apprenticeship - Little Scallywags Nursery

Overview of the Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate level 2 qualified apprentice to join our team at Little Scallywags Nursery. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is ready to progress to their Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship and develop their skills in a hands-on environment. As a key part of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the education and development of your key children, providing high-quality teaching and learning, and engaging in stimulating, child-centered activities.
Key Details:
- Working Hours: 40 hours per week
- Opening Hours: 8:00 am to 5:30 pm
- Wage: Apprentice wage (£6.40 p/h)
- Term Time Only: Yes
- Location: Mile Oak, Tamworth
Apprenticeship Details:
- Qualification: Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship Standard
- Duration: 19 months
- Training Provider: LMP Education (Rated BEST UK training provider ð!)
- Learning: Online/Remote alongside your role at Little Scallywags
Full Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to support children's development
- Observe and monitor children’s progress, well-being, and safety
- Work collaboratively with other nursery staff to create a positive learning atmosphere
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records on children's progress
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers about their child’s daily activities and development
- Ensure adherence to nursery policies and safeguarding procedures
- Participate in training and development opportunities
Skills & Personal Qualities:
- Experience working with young children in a nursery or childcare setting (desirable)
- Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- Ability to plan exciting child-led activities that promote development
- Excellent timekeeping, attendance, and punctuality
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to engage children positively and supportively
- A commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
