This is an exciting opportunity for growth within the lab industry! Lighthouse Laboratory Services is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Full Time LCMS technologist to join our laboratory in Greenville, NC.
The technologist will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the toxicology laboratory, sample prep and processing, ensuring the delivery of high-quality testing services, and daily laboratory operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performs routine testing, quality control, calibration, maintenance, and proficiency testing in accordance with current laboratory procedures
- Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines as described in their respective guidelines
- Responsible for providing day-to-day supervision of high complexity test performance
- Must be onsite to provide direct supervision when high complexity testing is performed by any individuals
- Assuring that all remedial actions are taken whenever test systems deviate from the established performance specifications
- Ensuring that patient test results are not reported until all corrective actions have been taken and the tests are properly functioning
- Providing training to all testing personnel
- Annually evaluating and documenting the performance of all testing personnel
- Perform other duties as directed
Qualifications:
- B.S. in chemistry, physics, toxicology, biochemistry, biological science, clinical laboratory science, or related field.
- Qualify as testing personnel and General Supervisor under CLIA guidelines and have at least 1 year of laboratory training or experience in high complexity testing
- MT (ASCP) or equivalent preferred
- Experience with Agilent 6400 series preferred
- Previous experience with toxicology sample prep
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
