Position: Food Safety Team Leader
Location: Kurali, Karjan, Vadodara, Gujarat
Reporting To: Quality Head / Plant Head
Qualification: B.Sc./M.Sc. in Food Technology, Microbiology, or related field
Certifications: FSSC 22000 Internal Auditor Certification (Mandatory)
Experience: Minimum 5 years in food safety, audits, and regulatory compliance in the food manufacturing industry
Key Responsibilities
Strong knowledge of FSSC 22000, HACCP, GMP, GHP, and ISO 22000.
Experience in conducting internal audits and external audit coordination.
Good understanding of FSSAI, USFDA, and other food regulatory requirements.
Excellent documentation and report-writing skills.

Position: Food Safety Team Leader

Key Responsibilities
- Food Safety & Compliance Management:
- Lead the Food Safety Team in ensuring compliance with FSSC 22000, FSSAI, USFDA, and BIS requirements.
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Food Safety Management System (FSMS) as per FSSC 22000 standards.
- Monitor CCPs, PRPs, and OPRPs to ensure food safety compliance.
- Coordinate with different departments (Production, QA/QC, Procurement) for food safety implementation.
- Internal Audits & Certification Compliance:
- Conduct internal audits as per FSSC 22000 standards and prepare reports.
- Ensure timely closure of non-conformities (NCs) identified during audits.
- Prepare the facility for external audits by regulatory bodies (FSSAI, USFDA, GPCB, etc.), customers, and certification agencies.
- Conduct gap assessments and initiate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Regulatory & Legal Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with FSSAI, USFDA, GFSI, and other applicable food safety laws.
- Maintain updated records and documentation required for regulatory inspections.
- Liaise with government authorities and regulatory bodies for food safety approvals and audits.
- Client & Customer Audits:
- Handle third-party and customer audits, ensuring compliance with buyer specifications and food safety standards.
- Respond to customer queries related to food safety, hygiene, and compliance.
- Implement client-specific food safety requirements into existing systems.
- Training & Awareness:
- Conduct food safety training for employees on HACCP, GMP, GHP, and FSMS.
- Ensure team members are aware of the latest food safety regulations and best practices.
- Foster a strong food safety culture within the organization.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain and update FSMS documentation, including HACCP plans, SOPs, and audit reports.
- Prepare monthly food safety compliance reports for senior management.
- Ensure proper record-keeping of all audit findings, CAPA, and regulatory updates.
Strong knowledge of FSSC 22000, HACCP, GMP, GHP, and ISO 22000.
