Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and responsible Behavioral Health Caregiver to provide exceptional care for a child in a nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and possess a genuine love for those with behavioral needs. This role involves engaging an 11 yr old male in fun and educational activities, ensuring their safety, and supporting their daily routines.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage child in age-appropriate activities to promote learning and development.
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks while promoting independence and knowledge of food prep safety.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment, including tidying up play areas and children's rooms.
- Assist with homework and educational tasks as needed.
- Provide transportation to and from activities or appointments when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress, behavior, and any concerns.
- Implement routines that promote healthy habits, including downtime, education time, playtime, and meal times.
- Promote outdoor activities such as swimming, fishing, boating, hiking, and golfing.
Skills
- Proven experience with children, with a strong understanding of child development and behavioral issues.
- Ability to prepare meals that are both nutritious and appealing to children.
- Strong cleaning skills to maintain a tidy environment for the children.
- Experience in behavioral settings.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with both child and parents.
