The ideal candidate will provide essential support to students and ensure high-quality instruction in a nursing home environment. This role is crucial for teaching our students to assist patients with daily living activities, monitoring their health, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
Responsibilities - You will teach others how to:
- Assist patients with personal hygiene, grooming, and daily living activities.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
- Provide support in acute care settings, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to implement care plans and document patient progress.
- Assist in critical care situations by providing immediate support as directed by nursing staff.
- Engage in adult education initiatives by educating patients about their health conditions and care plans.
- Utilize medical terminology accurately in documentation and communication with healthcare professionals.
- Participate in research initiatives aimed at improving patient care practices within the facility.
- Conduct documentation reviews to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Employ learning technology tools to enhance patient education and engagement.
Requirements
- Previous experience as an LPN or RN in a similar role is preferred.
