Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in vehicle maintenance and repair, with experience in both gasoline and diesel engines. This role requires proficiency in using various hand and power tools, as well as the ability to diagnose and resolve automotive issues efficiently. Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and diesel engines.
- Utilize diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems using hand tools and power tools.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used for each vehicle.
- Collaborate with service technicians to estimate repair costs and timelines.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies, including Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS).
- Weld components as necessary for repairs or modifications.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices and automotive service techniques.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Familiarity with auto estimating processes is a plus.
- Experience with diesel engine repair is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Certification from an accredited automotive program is preferred but not required.
- Must have own tools
- Must have at least 3 years experience in an automotive shop as "B" tech or better
