Field Service Technician (NETA III)

Job Overview : As a Field Service Technician Level III at LND Technical Services LLC, you will play a crucial role in testing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and commissioning electrical equipment in low, medium, and high-voltage systems. You will be responsible for overseeing field projects, leading junior technicians, and ensuring compliance with safety standards while delivering top-quality service to our clients.Responsibilities : Perform testing, commissioning, and maintenance of low, medium, high voltage electrical equipment, including but not limited to transformers, switchgear, power cables, circuit breakers, grounding systems. Conduct diagnostics, troubleshooting of complex electrical systems in low, medium, high-voltage substations. Lead and mentor junior technicians, providing on-the-job training and guidance. Develop and track project-specific documentation, including test reports, equipment data sheets, and compliance records. Collaborate with engineers and project managers to identify, troubleshoot, resolve problems to ensure project goals are met on time and within scope. Ensure adherence to safety standards (OSHA, NEC) and company safety policies, including completing safety analysis of job tasks. Maintain strong client relationships, providing excellent customer service and acting as the primary point of contact for service projects. Prepare detailed technical reports and communicate findings and recommendations to customers and the management team. Stay current on industry trends and best practicesTravel to client sites as required (up to 50%), within assigned region (based out of Albany, NY)Other duties as required Qualifications : Education : High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or technical certification in Electrical Technology or equivalent work experience, preferred.Experience : Minimum 5-8 years of hands-on experience in electrical testing, commissioning, and maintenance in low, medium, high-voltage systems. Licenses / Certifications : Valid drivers license; Certifications in electrical testing or safety standards (e.g., OSHA 30, NFPA 70E) preferred. Technical Skills : Strong knowledge of AC / DC fundamentals, low, medium, and high-voltage electrical systems, protective relays, and switchgear. Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC), NESC, and other industry standards. Leadership : Demonstrated experience leading service teams and training junior technicians. Skills : Excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to multitask and manage time effectively. Physical Requirements : Ability to lift up to 70 lbs., work outdoors in various weather conditions, and work in confined spaces. Must be able to perform physical labor including climbing ladders, standing for extended periods of time, drive regularly, fly regularly. Must be able to perform work outdoors in all weather conditions. Ability to use hand tools and power tools  NETA Level III certificationExcellent problem-solving skillsLeadership experience and ability to oversee junior techniciansCommitment to safety and compliance with regulationsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to travel to client sites as needed (based in Albany, NY or Northeast Region)Must be able to work legally in the US.
