Position Overview :
As a Senior Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and commissioning electrical equipment in low, medium and high-voltage systems. You will lead field projects, oversee junior technicians, and ensure compliance with safety standards while delivering top-quality service to our clients. This role involves both hands-on technical work and leadership, requiring a strong technical background, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform testing, commissioning, and maintenance of low, medium, high voltage electrical equipment, including but not limited to transformers, switchgear, power cables, circuit breakers, grounding systems, relays, and protection systems.
- Conduct diagnostics, troubleshooting of complex electrical systems in low, medium, high-voltage substations.
- Lead and mentor junior technicians, providing on-the-job training and guidance.
- Develop and track project-specific documentation, including test reports, equipment data sheets, and compliance records.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to identify, troubleshoot, resolve problems to ensure project goals are met on time and within scope.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards (OSHA, NEC) and company safety policies, including completing safety analysis of job tasks.
- Maintain strong client relationships, providing excellent customer service and acting as the primary point of contact for service projects.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and communicate findings and recommendations to customers and the management team.
- Travel to client sites as required (up to 70%)
