After-School Teacher (Beginner Music)

Job Title: Afterschool Beginner Music Teacher

Location: Travelling Teacher (DC Metro Area)

Job Type: Part-time, After School Hours

Job Summary:

Learn Now Music Group, Inc. is seeking a passionate and patient Beginner Music Teacher to lead engaging, fun, and educational after school music classes for students. The ideal candidate will introduce basic music concepts, help students develop an appreciation for music, and create a positive and supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

• Teach beginner-level music lessons to students in an afterschool program.
• Implement age-appropriate lesson plans using our curriculum focusing on rhythm, melody, and basic music theory.
• Introduce students to various musical instruments and encourage hands-on practice. (piano, guitar, violin, drum and ukulele)
• Foster a love for music through interactive activities, games, and in class performances. (No public performances)
• Maintain a positive and encouraging classroom environment.
• Communicate with program coordinators about student progress and class activities.
• Ensure all equipment and instruments are properly used, maintained and transported.

Qualifications:

• Experience teaching or working with children in a music-related setting.
• Proficiency in at least one musical instrument (piano, guitar, violin, drum, ukulele, etc.).
• Ability to make lessons fun and engaging for young learners.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Prior teaching experience (formal or informal) is preferred but not required.
• A degree in music or education is a plus but not mandatory.

Schedule & Compensation:

• Part-time, weekday afternoons.
• Competitive hourly pay
