Currently LNS is looking for a Maintenance Technician for 2nd shift that is capable of maintenance and repairs on machinery, equipment, and fixtures to achieve company objectives.
Essential Duties:
- Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment and performs regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and facilities.
- Ability to detect malfunction of equipment
- Ability to discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
- Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
- Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
- Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.
- Provide emergency/ unscheduled repairs of production equipment
- Perform a variety of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry functions
- Support continuous improvement efforts in the shop
- Build equipment or tools designed by the manufacturing engineers
- Assist manufacturing and office personnel when needed with moving equipment and furniture as needed
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
Qualifications:
- Technical degree or 3 to 4 years of related experience in machinery maintenance and repair
- Technical degree in Electrical repair preferred
- Ability to weld and fabricate
- Ability to run and operate a forklift
Requirements:
- Must be able to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and understand verbal instructions
- Must have a driver's license and ability to be an authorized driver for company with a clear driving record
- Must be able to lift 75 or more pounds
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to reach, stoop, bend, and crouch for extended periods of time
