Maintenance Technician

Currently LNS is looking for a Maintenance Technician for 2nd shift that is capable of maintenance and repairs on machinery, equipment, and fixtures to achieve company objectives.

Essential Duties:

• Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment and performs regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and facilities.
• Ability to detect malfunction of equipment
• Ability to discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
• Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
• Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.
• Provide emergency/ unscheduled repairs of production equipment
• Perform a variety of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry functions
• Support continuous improvement efforts in the shop
• Build equipment or tools designed by the manufacturing engineers
• Assist manufacturing and office personnel when needed with moving equipment and furniture as needed
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner

Qualifications:

• Technical degree or 3 to 4 years of related experience in machinery maintenance and repair
• Technical degree in Electrical repair preferred
• Ability to weld and fabricate
• Ability to run and operate a forklift

Requirements:

• Must be able to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and understand verbal instructions
• Must have a driver's license and ability to be an authorized driver for company with a clear driving record
• Must be able to lift 75 or more pounds
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to reach, stoop, bend, and crouch for extended periods of time
