We offer a hands-on, personal approach to design while giving our clients and customers an inspiring place to shop, browse, and connect with our brand. We’re looking for a dynamic, detail-oriented, and personable team member to join us as Design Assistant and Sales Associate.
Position Overview:
This role supports both our design studio and retail storefront. You’ll help with sourcing, organizing, and supporting the design process. You’ll welcome and assist walk-in clients, manage daily storefront tasks, and ensure our customers have a great experience—both in-store and online.
Key Responsibilities:
Duties:
- Assist with sourcing furniture, materials, and finishes
- Help prepare mood boards, presentations, and design documents
- Organize and manage fabric, tile, and finish samples
- Take site measurements and assist with installations as needed
- Coordinate with vendors and track orders
- Provide general administrative support to the design team
- Greet and assist walk-in customers in the storefront
- Provide product knowledge and styling advice
- Process in-store and online orders
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and respond to inquiries
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually inspiring shop environment
- Update and manage products through Shopify (experience preferred)
- Support inventory tracking, restocking, and merchandising
Qualifications:
- #1 qualification is that you are a problem solver. We are busy and fast paced and you need to be able to accomplish tasks independently and be a forward thinker
- Passion for interior design, styling, and home decor
- Previous experience in retail, customer service, or design (preferred)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail (MUST)
- Great communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Google Suite; familiarity with design software is a plus (SketchUp, Canva, etc.)
- Experience with Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms is strongly preferred
- Self-starter with a positive attitude and team spirit
- Flexible schedule and reliable transportation
