About Us: Load Runner Trailers is a Florida-based trailer dealership that sells utility trailers used primarily by contractors, landscapers and individual consumers. We have five locations across the state and are planning for our next phase of growth.
Our company is in a period of transformation, modernizing our organization across all facets as we evolve from a small to a medium-sized business. We are seeking a Director of Business Development to lead our efforts in building an outside sales force and to grow our sales channel with customer segments that we don't currently reach.
This position reports to the President of the company with the intent of building a true collaborative relationship. The work environment is more like a startup than anything else. We’re profitable, we’ve got growth on the horizon, but we’re a small company in a messy industry... we need people to get their hands dirty to get things done. We hope to find someone that is energized by building and realizing a vision and thrives in an unstructured role. Experimentation and fresh thinking are highly encouraged.
Position Overview: The Director of Business Development will lead our company’s outside sales activities. The immediate priority is to develop some initial success in outside sales in the Tampa area. Once we have a proof-of-concept that outside sales is going to be an effective approach in our space (which we firmly believe it will), we would then seek to scale this up geographically and across new niche customer segments. Your ambition will be what takes us there!
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead up the company’s outside sales efforts including setting the strategies and priorities and ensuring that execution is on point.
- Prioritize and develop new customer segments. Targets could include medium and large-enterprise customers, local and regional government and high-end consumer segments.
- Develop a marketing strategy to effectively reach these target markets.
- Collaborate with senior leaders as we develop our marketing and sales management infrastructure.

- Pipeline knowledge. You should be familiar with outside sales focused on the construction, local government and/or transportation/logistics customers.
- Analytical mindset. An inherent sense of ROI, a data-driven approach in everything and proficiency in data analysis tools.
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish is a huge plus as well as deep cultural understanding of the Florida Hispanic community.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year.
($60k base with commissions that should top $100k per year)
