At Loadsure, we're seeking an experienced Inland Marine Underwriter to join our team. As an Underwriter (Inland Marine), you will be responsible for providing underwriting expertise and exceptional service to our customers. You'll focus on building and managing a portfolio of inland marine products in the US, while delivering accurate and timely results.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Sourcing submissions from assigned trading partners through dedicated marketing and sales techniques
- Growing the broker source usage based business for single shipments and shipper interest clients
- Reviewing and clearing high-value shipment referrals within your partners and territory
- Clearing annual business submissions and performing desk underwriting to review pertinent details of exposures to quote business within your authority
You'll also be expected to maintain your book of business by providing timely renewals to brokers and assureds, as well as liaise with claims, finance, compliance, and engineering teams on matters affecting accounts within the portfolio.
To succeed in this role, you'll need excellent communication skills, a solutions-focused attitude, and strong organizational abilities. You should be comfortable dealing with internal and external senior representatives, have a willingness to travel, and be eager to learn.
