Overview

We are seeking to fill the role of Cash Document Specialist I. The ideal candidate enjoys collaborating with clients, industry partners and internal teams to maximize outcomes for homeowners.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, open, sort, review, and maintain incoming mail by type.
  • Prep and scan checks, miscellaneous documents, and Unclaimed Property claim letters to relevant image repository and export data as required.
  • Review, research, and respond to customer email inquiries regarding Unclaimed Property.
  • Perform duties that aid in the processing of servicing documents and accounting, ensuring transactions are within compliance guidelines (e.g. data entry, reviewing documents, tracking, filing, and payment research).
  • Partner with vendors and contractors to ensure files are processed accurately.
  • Review audit findings with leadership to determine opportunity for process enhancements and/or procedural changes.
  • All other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • 1 year of data entry experience.
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft Office applications - Excel and Outlook or similar experience.
  • Ability to manage time and priorities wisely.
  • Ability to adapt to frequently changing processes and procedures.
  • Ability to work in a high-volume and time-sensitive environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction and effectively meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with peers in a team environment to attain common goals.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing, in person, and by telephone with all levels of the


organization.

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.


Desired Skills And Qualifications

  • 1 year of experience in mortgage operations or payment processing preferred

Work Conditions

Able to attend work and be productive during normal business hours and to work early, late or weekend hours as needed for successful job performance. Overtime required as necessary.

Physical Demands

  • Sitting up to 75% of the time
  • Walking, standing and bending up to 25% of the time
  • Occasional reaching, twisting, pushing and pulling
