What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chief Compliance Officer position at Lobel Financial?
We are a motor vehicle sales finance company headquartered in Anaheim, California. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chief Compliance Officer with strong organization skills to help oversee the company's compliance function. Candidates should possess excellent interpersonal skills and ability to perform effectively with members of different departments as a team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ongoing maintenance and development of the company's Compliance Management System
- Manage, direct, train and hire as needed Compliance Department staff
- Track and monitor regulatory updates and compliance changes affecting the consumer auto finance industry, including, but not limited to: ECOA, EFTA, ESIGN, FACTA, Fair Lending, FCRA, FDCPA, GLBA, SCRA, TILA, TCPA, UDAAP, and applicable state laws and regulations
- Proactively mitigate the company's regulatory risk
- Create, update, and distribute regulatory policies and procedures
- Develop, implement, and maintain appropriate compliance training and education for company
employees and the Board of Directors
- Perform regular compliance risk assessments, create annual risk-based monitoring schedules, test and report findings, and develop and monitor corrective action plans
- Maintain the complaint tracking process, conduct ongoing trend and root-cause analysis, and escalate compliance issues
- Conduct due diligence of new and current/active vendors, perform risk assessments, and maintain a vendor monitoring program
- Conduct regular fair lending reviews
- Present periodic reports and an evaluation on the operation of the Compliance Management System to the Board of Directors and senior management.
- Represent the company as primary contact for federal and state regulatory bodies in issues of
compliance, including examinations and other onsite visits
- Coordinate as appropriate with legal counsel on regulatory matters
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree required
- JD degree preferred
MINIMUM YEARS OF ADDITIONAL RELATED EXPERIENCE:
- Five years' experience in federal and state regulatory compliance
- Seven years' experience in the consumer finance industry. Auto finance experience is preferred.

Salary : $200,000 - $230,000
