The Universal Banker plays a key role in delivering a seamless and exceptional customer experience by performing both teller and personal banker duties. This position is responsible for building relationships with customers, addressing financial needs, and promoting bank products and services. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to handle various banking transactions effectively.
Essential job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Provide exceptional customer service as the first point of contact for customers, identify customer needs and recommend appropriate banking products and services, and develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to enhance loyalty and satisfaction.
- Banking transactions including processing routine banking transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and payments, opening and managing accounts, and assist customers with digital banking services.
- Actively cross-sell products and services such as loans, business accounts, etc., educate customers on the benefits of bank products and services, and participate in promotional activities to grow the branch's customer base.
- Adhere to all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance, safeguard customer information and prevent fraudulent activities, and accurately maintain and balance cash drawers and other financial records.
