What are the responsibilities and job description for the Secretary position at Local Company?
Provide extensive secretarial support to the team, including service coordination, and support for medical, psychological, and management staff. Must work independently and as part of a team.
Primary Functions:
- Support Manager of Services and Supports
- Assist with the Exception process
- Generate reports, correspondence, documents, and memoranda
- Process Early Start and Age 3 denial/accept letters within 2 days
- Update Sandis (demographics, case files, reports)
- Handle mail distribution, photocopying, faxing, scanning
- Create tables, forms, and schedules
- Compile reports, prepare files for audits
- Transcribe phone messages, prepare referral packets
- File for service coordinators monthly
- Perform reception duties, schedule appointments and meetings
- Maintain archive filing, request medical records within 2 days
- Maintain office equipment and supplies
- Prepare closure, transfer, inactive files
- Assist with building repairs, vendor calls
- Take minutes at meetings, assist with special functions and training
Skill Requirements:
- Prioritize work, meet deadlines
- Knowledge of medical/psychological terminology (preferred)
- Strong communication, scheduling, and organizational skills
- Maintain confidentiality, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proficient in Excel & Word (PowerPoint desired)
- Type minimum of 45 WPM
- High school graduate, two years relevant experience
- Excellent telephone and transcription skills
- Knowledge of office methods and procedures
Job Types: Full-time, Temp-to-hire
Pay: $21.47 - $26.86 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
