Local Crafts Group is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in maintaining the financial health of our company and ensuring compliance with all accounting standards. You will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, including:
Local Crafts, (formerly Premier Needle Arts (PNA)), manages a portfolio of five well-known consumer crafting brands: Berroco, Connecting Threads, Knit Picks, Superior Threads, and Crochet.com. Our hands-on approach helps us provide fabrics, threads, yarns, and tools that meet our customers' preferences while maintaining exceptional quality.
Available through dedicated consumer websites, Amazon, wholesale distributors, local retail partners, and consumer shows, our products are accessible to craft enthusiasts.

As a Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in maintaining the financial health of our company and ensuring compliance with all accounting standards. You will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, including:
- Entering the day-to-day financial transactions and completing the posting process.
- Process invoices and payments.
- Manage sales tax software and ensure tax returns are filed.
- Reconcile and complete monthly and annual closing procedures.
- Run weekly reports and KPI calculations.
- Post trade show sales and reconcile cash.
- Work with other departments to resolve accounting related issues.

Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in accounting w/ one-year of staff accounting experience,
- or a bachelor's degree in finance or business administration w/ two - three years of staff accounting experience.
- Experience in inventory, taxes, prepaids, bank reconciliation, merchant reconciliation, ME closing, and journal entries.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, and to prioritize multiple tasks and projects to meet deadlines while remaining organized.
- Independently solve practical problems and interpret a variety of written and oral instructions.
- Handle highly confidential and sensitive information.
- Effectively communicate with offices and teams in other locations and time zones.
- MS Office proficiency, including intermediate Excel skills. We will require you to perform an on-site excel skills assessment.
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
- Upon a conditional offer of employment, a professional reference check and criminal background check will be required.
- CPA, CPA candidate or other relevant professional certification
- Familiarity with GAAP accounting principles.
- NetSuite software experience

- After your 90-day introduction period and completion of training, we offer a hybrid work environment with the ability to work remotely 1 day a week
