Responsibilities
- Create and implement engaging lesson plans that promote educational development through play and structured activities.
- Supervise children in the classroom and during outdoor activities, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
- Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging social interaction and emotional growth.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, using positive reinforcement strategies to guide children’s actions.
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child’s progress, behavior, and any concerns that may arise.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive learning environment that meets the needs of all children.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of early childhood education.
Requirements
- Proven experience in childcare settings such as daycare, preschool, or nannying is preferred.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and classroom management techniques.
- Ability to educate children through creative activities while maintaining a structured environment.
- Experience working with children with disabilities is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- A compassionate approach to caregiving that prioritizes the well-being of each child.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is required
- Must be able to pass a background check
