Summary :

This role will merge technical, manufacturing, and business knowledge to drive new for a business.  The role has a foundation in controls engineering but offers significant opportunities for growth including developing new automation opportunities, quantifying business value, presenting to leadership, and then coordinating across functions to execute initiatives. The candidate will work in a highly collaborative and diverse team of engineers and leaders.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Collaborate with factory stakeholders to identify, develop, and deploy manufacturing automation systems and digital solutions.
  • Continuous improvement, upgrades, and sustainment of deployed automation systems (ex. automation mechanisms, controls, robotics, autonomous vehicles)
  • Full project lifecycle control – from requirements generation through execution & sustainment
  • Program front end visualizations in Ignition to enable data driven decisions that dictate actionable changes & priorities
  • Automation expertise in PLC, DCS, SCADA with an emphasis on the following controls systems : Emerson Control Systems, Rockwell Allen Bradley Automation, Siemens Control Systems
  • Experience translating client visions to set the direction, frame the project, provide clarity to direct reports and client, and deliver results.
  • Experience operating as a trusted strategic advisor to organization decision-makers on short and long-term organizational initiatives.
  • Proven technical / managerial capabilities in developing solutions to engineering and business problems and managing deliverables and client expectations
  • Develop, maintain, and manage to strategic account plan for assigned customer.
  • Formulate robust strategy, develop, and deliver comprehensive business plans to address customer and prospect priorities, orchestrates and owns the medium and long-term execution of the account strategy, incorporating product, software, services, support / maintenance, and where appropriate, partners and channels.
  • Encourage innovation entrepreneurship spirit among the organization and constantly identify the new business winning opportunities and breakthrough initiatives, become a strategic advisor on company's solution offers and digital transformations.
  • Ensures the alignment of virtual / global account team to deliver strategic business outcomes to the customer; Leverage support organizations including Offer Management, Corporate Strategic Accounts, and Demand Generation to funnel pipeline into the assigned accounts.
  • Work strategically to understand the customer’s business and provide them with new and different ways to push their thinking and provide them with market differentiation.
  • Develop long-term C-level relationships, create and manage a strong customer governance model, and ensure assigned executive sponsor is appropriately engaged.
  • Lead integrated account planning and ensure the Honeywell footprint is expanded as part of the customer’s strategic planning.
  • Drive revenue growth across all Honeywell brands and BTIs within the customer’s sites / branches.
  • Ensure operational excellence, set up rigorous and effective operating cadence, enable tools and performance management; develop and train sales, marketing, or any other functions which could contribute to global account revenue growth.
  • Act as Honeywell ambassador and build a positive image; engage other Honeywell businesses as needed to support the customer’s strategic plans.
  • Communicate key customer milestones, activities, and acquisitions to Honeywell Industrial Safety Management team.

Education and Work Experience :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent is required.
  • Six years of experience programming in C / C ; must be able to program applications to run on the Windows Operating System.
  • Familiarity with a structured coding environment and participation on Academic / real-life projects which involve software and hardware (i.e. robotics).
  • Knowledge of Linux and Siemens PLC environment preferred.
  • Knowledge and Skills :

  • Read and understand drawings and schematics (ie : electronics, mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics).
  • Use computer-aided design (CAD).
  • Display a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments in a timely manner.
  • Familiar with a variety of fabrication concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, fixtures, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
  • Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
  • Knowledge of engineering and programming including electronics, mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and computer programming.
  • Learn and apply new concepts quickly and effectively.
  • Highly motivated and keen to work in a fast-paced organization.
  • Self-starter, ability to work independently, act and deliver results, exercising high level judgment in the absence of explicit direction.
  • Provides check and feedback from independent review of engineering deliverables / documentation (i.e. 3D models, 2D drawings, design presentations.)
  • Work Hours :

  • Standard work schedule, overtime may be necessary for meeting deadlines, required travel, emergent conditions.
  • Travel Requirements

  • This position can involve travel up to 50% of the time.
