Responsibilities
As a Multimedia Journalist at the Local News Network (LNN), you will play a crucial role in shaping our news coverage and delivering engaging content to our audience. Working closely with the News Director and Production Manager, you will research, pitch, and develop news stories relevant to the town / county for our news node. Your responsibilities will include conducting interviews, writing scripts, hosting, editing video / audio content, and ensuring timely production and distribution of video / audio news stories.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Journalism or related field. Experience as a journalist. Thorough understanding of journalistic ethics, libel, and privacy laws. Strong understanding of community-relevant story types. Excellent organizational skills and a proven ability to work within a team environment. Proficiency in G-Suite, Microsoft Word, and basic text editors. Experience in video and audio news production, or a willingness to learn. Proficiency in video and audio recording, or a willingness to learn. Proficiency in Premiere Pro, and other Adobe Creative Cloud applications is a plus.
