Locally owned manufacturing business is seeking a buyer to directly assist the company’s Purchasing Department. Daily duties include but are not limited to: locating suppliers, researching goods, service, materials, and processing purchasing orders. The purchasing agent reports to the purchasing manager. The duties and responsibilities of the purchasing agent may include:
Review and prepare purchase orders and solicit bids for goods and services
Verification of purchase orders with suppliers and vendors
Analyzing reports, price proposals and other data to determine prices for goods and services
Verifying stock levels of inventory, this includes the ability to go up and down stairs to the parts department.
Maintains a positive and professional demeanor.

Professional phone manner
Computer proficiency
Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail
Company uses Sage 100 (MAS 90) software. Applicants with Sage 100 (MAS 90) experience will be given priority. Applicants must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word. Applicants must have a have favorable work history, and be able to pass criminal background check and drug screen.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
