Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Executive to join our team. This role is pivotal in driving growth and expanding our market presence. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in business development, strategic planning, and customer relationship management. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and contributing to the overall success of our organization.
The Lead, Business Development Associate is responsible for supporting and expanding the organization’s growth strategy by identifying new business opportunities, guiding a team of Business Development Associates, and maintaining key partnerships. Reporting to the Business Manager, this role plays a critical part in generating qualified leads, managing bid opportunities, coordinating proposal development, and ensuring business development goals are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and mentor Business Development Associates, ensuring quality lead generation and opportunity tracking.
- Oversee the research and identification of new opportunities including RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs via government portals, prime contractors, and commercial leads.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Contracts, Operations, Finance, etc.) to gather input for bid decisions and proposal preparation.
- Support capture planning and contribute to the development of a win strategies for targeted opportunities.
- Maintain and update CRM systems with opportunity pipelines, lead status, and partnership tracking.
- Attend industry events, webinars, and meetings to stay current on market trends and establish new connections.
- Draft capability statements, assist in preparing responses to Sources Sought Notices, and support branding efforts for potential clients and partners.
- Generate weekly reports for the Business Manager on lead activity, team productivity, and strategic recommendations.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in business development or a related field, with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role.
- Demonstrated experience with federal or commercial contracting, proposal development, and bid tracking systems.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce CRM systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with government procurement platforms (e.g., SAM.gov, eBuy, GSA Advantage).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Public Administration, or related field, preferred
- Experience working with small business certifications (8(a), HUBZone, VOSB, etc.).
- Prior experience in professional services, janitorial, construction, or security industry is a plus
