What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Tennis and Pickleball Professional position at Loch Lloyd Country Club?

Position Overview :

We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and passionate individual to lead our tennis and pickleball programs as the Head Tennis and Pickleball Professional. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the development, organization, and delivery of all tennis and pickleball activities at Loch Lloyd Country Club. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent teaching abilities, and a passion for fostering a positive and inclusive sports community.

Facility Overview :

Loch Lloyd Country Club is a private gated community that is expanding their Recreation Center to include brand new tennis and pickleball courts. Loch Lloyd is a full amenity country club, with an 18-hole championship golf course, dining, brand new pool and brand new fitness center as of May 2025. The Recreation Center will have 2 outdoor tennis courts, plus 4 pickleball courts, 2 of which are indoors permanently. The Recreation Center will have brand new state of the art workout equipment, workout facility, locker rooms, steam rooms and a snack bar. The club is rapidly expanding with the growth of new social members, and the golf membership is currently on a waitlist.

Key Responsibilities :

Program Leadership & Development :

Design and implement engaging tennis and pickleball programs for players of all ages and skill levels, including lessons, clinics, camps, socials and tournaments.

Develop and manage a structured year-round schedule for both tennis and pickleball activities.

Create a welcoming environment for players of all backgrounds, promoting both sports through outreach and continuing education.

Coaching & Instruction :

Provide private and group lessons for individuals and teams, tailored to various skill levels, from beginner to advanced.

Supervise assistant instructors and the Junior Program Director, while supporting staff to ensure consistent and high-quality instruction.

Assist in the development of player skill sets and improve performance through structured drills and match play.

Event Management :

Organize and run internal and external tennis and pickleball tournaments, leagues, and special events.

Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless execution of events, including scheduling, facility preparation, and participant engagement.

Customer Service & Community Engagement :

Build and maintain strong relationships with members, providing exceptional service and support for all their tennis and pickleball needs.

Promote and market tennis and pickleball programs, expanding participation and fostering a community-centered approach.

Assist in the development and execution of promotional materials and campaigns to increase awareness of programs.

Facility Management :

Ensure courts are properly maintained and ready for use, collaborating with Recreation Center Director or facility management on repairs and improvements.

Administrative Duties :

Track and maintain records for lessons, programs, and participant attendance and billing of programming.

Assist with budgeting and financial planning related to tennis and pickleball programming.

Provide regular feedback and reports to the Recreation Center Director.

Qualifications :

Certified Tennis Professional (e.g., USPTR, USPTA) and / or Certified Pickleball Professional (e.g., PPR, IPTPA) preferred.

Proven experience teaching both tennis and pickleball at a variety of skill levels.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in coaching and program management.

Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to motivate and inspire players of all ages and skill levels.

Excellent customer service orientation and ability to foster a community atmosphere.

Experience with event planning, including tournaments and leagues.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Physical Requirements :

Ability to demonstrate and actively participate in tennis and pickleball activities.

Ability to lift and carry tennis and pickleball equipment.

45k base salary with commission structure.
