Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Event Setup and Tear Down:
• Assist in the setup and tear down of special events, including weddings, banquets, golf tournaments, and more.
• Ensure all event spaces are organized, clean, and properly arranged according to event specifications.
• Set up tables, chairs, linens, decorations, and equipment as required.
• Inventory Management:
• Maintain an inventory of event supplies and equipment, ensuring everything is in good condition and readily available for use.
• Report any damaged or missing items to the supervisor for replacement or repair.
• Assist Event Staff:
• Collaborate with the event staff, including servers and bartenders, to ensure a smooth and efficient event flow.
• Be attentive to guest requests and provide assistance as needed.
• General Maintenance:
• Keep event spaces and common areas clean and organized throughout events.
• Perform light cleaning tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, and trash removal.
• Customer Service:
• Provide friendly and professional service to members and guests.
• Answer questions and assist with directions when necessary.
• Safety and Security:
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and staff.
• Follow all safety guidelines and report any safety concerns to the supervisor.
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in event setup and teardown is a plus but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and adapt to changing event needs.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry items as needed.

Work Schedule:

This is a part-time position with variable hours based on event schedules. Porter shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays to accommodate the club's event calendar.
