Primary Function
The Tank Assembler (2nd Shift) prepares pressure vessel materials for assembly through the set-up and operation of fabrication, coating, hydro testing, passivation, packaging and foaming equipment; assembles and completes water heater and storage tanks.

Regularly Scheduled Hours: Monday - Thursday - 3:30pm - 2:00am
Hourly Rate of Pay: $21.25 $1.00/hour shift premium ($22.25/hr total)
Sign On Bonus: $1500 ($500 after 3 months, $500 after 6 months, $500 after 12 months - must not be on a corrective action for attendance)

Responsibilities
- Prepare completed pressure vessels for hydro-testing; set up and operate hydro testing equipment & blasting booth. Check sand blasted units for completeness
- Responsible for safety, housekeeping, TPM of work area as well as quality and quantity of work performed
- Operate variety of saws and other cutting equipment to cut structural steel to proper length according to print or other specifications; operate drill press; check work using tape measure or other measuring device
- Assemble or attach elements, gauges, pipes, installs fiberglass, wiring, sheet metal, control panels, solders copper pipe, use Tig welder, etc according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following blueprints, and work instructions. Cut probe holes for wiring and performs routing of electrical wiring of control panels
- Prepare tanks, tank parts, and water heater jackets for painting or applying rust inhibitive coating through the set-up and operation of equipment. Mix and check the paint to the proper mixture per set standard, thinners, and other rust inhibitive coating materials for use in paint spraying equipment. Remove, dispose, and replace filters in paint booths. Check general operation and condition including filters and manometer readings
- Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, rivets using pneumatic screw gun or other hand tools.
- Build wooden bases, wood crates, and finished units to prepare for shipment
- Position and attach tanks to bases
- Set up and operates insulation equipment
- Print labels and stickers and place appropriate warning, instruction, and specification stickers on units
- Operate forklift, cranes, and hoist to load, unload and transfer materials to and from machinery and work areas
- Test in-process and completed units for water leaks
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
- 3 months related experience or training
- Good communication skills
- Must pass background check and drug screen
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
