We are looking for an experienced Civil Engineer to join our Roadway/Highway Design team in Northwest Indiana. The ideal candidate for this role will be a Professional Engineer with experience working on local agency and/or DOT roadway design projects. In this position, the candidate will:
- Work on a variety of DOT and/or LPA roadway/highway design projects
- Take a lead role in project planning, design, and implementation
- Review and approve project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
- Manage project tasks, budgets, schedules, and resources effectively
- Delegate work to project team members
- Perform detailed engineering analysis and design tasks
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance
- Review complete project documents, ensuring quality and compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations
- Assists upper level management and staff as a technical specialist or advisor
- May perform other duties associated with this role.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
- 8 years of experience in roadway/highway design engineering.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to work well individually or as part of a team are essential
